The Wizards: Enhanced Edition Review – Amateur Magician

On paper, I think hurling magic fireballs and casting spells is a near perfect match for the wonders of VR gaming. Who doesn’t want to wave their hands in a vaguely mystical fashion to summon an ice bow? The Wizards attempts to capture the mystic arts by making you swing your hands around like you’re trying to swat a wasp that has no concept of personal space. To the outside world you look like a raving lunatic, but in The Wizards: Enhanced Edition you’re wielding powerful forces.

Intruders: Hide And Seek Review – Worth Seeking?

Look, Intruders: Hide and Seek’s biggest fault really isn’t one of its own doing. You see, it constantly made me wish that we had gotten an official VR update for Alien: Isolation. As I hid in a cupboard in Intruders: Hide & Seek and watched one of the three goons look for me I couldn’t help but think how amazing the same thing in VR would have been in Alien: Isolation. Sorry, Intruders, it’s not you, it’s me. My heart just belongs to another.

Guns ‘N’ Stories: Bulletproof Review – Dime Novel

So far my foray’s into virtual reality gaming have been frequently amazing, from the brain teasing of Red Matter to the gunplay of Borderlands 2, a 6-year-old game reborn in VR. But Guns ‘N Stories: Bulletproof is my first negative experience, a wave-shooter that left me bored. It’s not the kind of game I can even rip apart, though, because it does most of what it sets out to do competently. So let’s review this western and see where it goes wrong.
