We were right! Everybody collectively pat yourselves on the back, because Toys For Bob has announced the first brand new Spyro game in nearly two decades.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond is set for spring 2027 across Xbox Series X and S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond will feature the return of Tom Kenny as the voice of the purple dragon, and will have something called “true dragon flight.”

“That question is the heart of the design ambition for Spyro: A Realm Beyond. As more of us started to poke at that question, it quickly became apparent that this was the right evolution for Spyro – take to the skies and own the airtime,” said Paul Yan, Studio Head at Toys for Bob.

“To the long-term fans – you are an incredible community, and I love that you’re so deeply committed every year to celebrating and advocating for Spyro to have a new original mainline game. Our team thanks you. After nearly two decades, the time has come.”
