Today, my fellow squishy beings, is my birthday. Therefore I will be requiring you all to worship my divine brilliance for at least five minutes before you read the rest of this week’s Weekend Whammy. Start worshipping. Done? Alright, we can get on with this, then. Joking aside, as always I hope you’re all keeping well, staying safe and getting to play loads of games. On this Weekend Whammy I’m going to tackling Insomniac’s announcement that they’ve recast Spider-Man. I’ll also be talking about what I’m playing and planning on review. So let’s do this!
Welcome back to the Weekend Whammy! As always and forever, I’m the idiot running this little Internet asylum and the Weekend Whammy is where I chat about…er, anything, really. But this week it’s very much gaming related stuff because loads of exciting things have happened. So lets jump into it, shall we?
Hello! I’m back again with another Weekend Whammy. There was some big news that came out in the past few weeks, and I’m excited to talk about them! The lid has been lifted on the Xbox Series X and Series S, so there’s loads to talk about there, and Nvidia announced their new 3000 series graphics cards, too. Let’s get into it?
The “beta” (Read; demo) for Crystal Dynamics forthcoming Avengers game was open to everyone to play over the weekend, so I jumped in and spent some time smashing stuff as the Hulk, flying around as Iron-Man, kicking ass as Black Widow and generally avoiding playing as the annoying Kamala Khan as much as possible. With less than a month until the Avengers is out, this demo is our chance to see if we’re going to get an awesome new superhero game that can stand with Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Arkham games.
Fear not, dear reader, for I have returned to guide you unto the shining light of excellence that is ME! Thou shall bask in my brilliance and my all-round awewsomeness at doing the video games. Seriously, though, welcome back guys and gals. It’s time for more random chatter. This week I’m talking about sushi, rising game prices and probably more sushi.
I’ve really been letting these Weekend Whammys slip, haven’t I? I’ll be honest, the motivation is a tad lacking at the moment. My physical health took a bit of a plummet recently, and in turn that’s smacked my mental health right in the mental balls. But never mind that because since my last Weekend Whammy there’s been loads of stuff happening, some of it good and some of it bad! I’m going to chat about just a little bit of it, so let’s chat The Last of Us 2, Sony’s PS5 and more.
It has been a bit since my last Weekend Whammy, but the simple truth is that there isn’t much to talk about when you’ve basically been hiding underneath a massive blanket for two weeks, only emerging to eat Haribo and hiss at the sun. Yup, being in lockdown is a bit on the boring side. It does, however, leave a lot of time for playing games, reading books and watching movies, so that’s cool. This week we’re going to chat about Half-Life: Alyx, the new PS5 controller and The Last of Us 2 being delayed!
It appears, my dear friends, that the world has gone a tiny bit mad. But I’m here to bless your horrible day with my mere presence, with my unadulterated brilliance! Alright, seriously, I hope you’ve been staying safe and looking after yourselves in these tricky times. Luckily we’ve got games to occupy ourselves with, so this week I’m chatting about Gamestop being stupid, Doom Eternal being awesome and next-gen consoles being delayed.
Hello dear readers, you have entered a world of magic, of love, of unending beauty, of…uh, stuff. Yes, it’s time for a another Weekend Whammy that isn’t remotely near a weekend! YEAH! This week, there’s no damn games! But there is some stuff to talk about in regards to the next-gen consoles, their costs and their power Oh, and the Coronavirus. That as well.
I failed to post a Patch Notes last week, but I’m back now! And man was there some big news over the past few weeks to talk about. I’ve picked a few topics to quickly chat about, from the PS5 being announced in surprising fashion to new Star Wars games so let’s delve into this!
